Therapists benefit from regular supervision to maintain client safety, uphold ethical standards, enhance clinical skills, and support their own wellbeing. It provides a valuable second opinion, helping therapists reflect on complex cases, gain new perspectives, and identify blind spots. Supervision also promotes professional development by strengthening skills, knowledge, and self-awareness, particularly during training or when facing challenges.
Over the years, as a supervisee in various clinical settings, I have enjoyed group supervision with fellow trainees on different placements and have continued to engage in peer supervision as a group with qualified therapists working in different modalities. I have also utilised my continuous one-to-one supervision to closely examine my work and hone my therapeutical skills and knowledge
My way of working:
I am trained in the integrative counselling approach, mainly working in the person-centred modality. For detailed information about my work as a therapist, please visit [this page].
For supervision I offer a space where -> list core conditions
Name Proctor model elements – and then again in practical terms. the practitioner can lean into the support
Mention specifically collaboration and feedback. Can revisit Julie’s page
Also use the 7 eyed model to look at à name different aspects that may overlap
Name diversity for clients/practitioner in a separate sentence.
Clinical Supervision Training:
From October 2026 – June 2027 I am undertaking advanced training in therapeutic counselling supervision to be able to provide high-quality work as a clinical supervisor.
I can offer a range of supervision models, integrating theory in to practice by ensuring it aligns with my therapeutic philosophy and the needs of the supervisee.
The training certificate is awarded by the Counselling and Psychotherapy Central Awarding Body (CPCAB), which is the UK’s leading counselling awarding organisation. The course is offered through Place2Be, which is an organisational member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP), therefore adhering to their ethical framework and professional standards. The BACP supervision competency framework and supervision curriculum form the foundation of the course, and the learning outcomes are directly related.
During this course I will be receiving supervisory supervision, to ensure that I uphold professional standards and the framework around confidentiality as expected in therapeutic counselling settings.
During the duration of the course, I can provide online supervision at a reduced rate of £35 per hour. My availability is Thursdays and Fridays daytime. Please contact me for more information.
