I hold the following qualifications:
- Postgraduate Diploma in Counselling & Psychotherapy
- Certificate in Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Behavioural Therapy
- Master of Science in Applied Cognitive Neuroscience
- Bachelor of Arts in Educational Psychology
I am committed to my continued professional development as a therapist and regularly attend counselling and psychotherapy workshops, conferences and undertake independent study. As an accredited member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP), my work is fully insured and professionally supervised in accordance with their guidelines and I adhere to the BACP ethical framework.My background:
I qualified as a counsellor in 2019 and set up private practice in 2020, continuously seeing clients of varying age groups with a broad spectrum of issues. I have around six years of experience of working in different educational settings ranging from primary school through to secondary schools, 6th forms and university. I have previously gained experience in delivering remote therapy by working at a charity offering online and telephone counselling to children and adolescents up to age 25.
With my background in psychology, I have worked in the charity sector for many years, specialising in supporting and providing training to people affected by autism spectrum disorders and Asperger Syndrome as well as chronic illnesses, disabilities and mental health conditions.
